                                   Darts in Greenville


 A steel tip dart community has existed in the upstate for more than 29 years. During it's peak years almost 200 players participated in the local leagues and blind draw tournaments.
 The South Carolina Upstate Dart League is 25 years old and is the local American Darts Organization affiliate. It hosts the annual Foothills Fling tournament, which celebrates it's 21th year in 2011.
 With the creation of the Greenville Premier Dart Association, Greenville joins the ranks of other major cities to have multiple dart organizations.
 The area has a long history of great dart bars, a tradition kept alive today in venues such as the VFW Post 10330, ESB2 and The Irish Pub.
 Greenville has produced many quality dart players as well, from nationally ranked players Ron Beach and Rob Lamb in the eighties to national youth finalist Chris Chism in the nineties. Today, we have several players which have reached national playoffs but none of them have been as successful than our hometown hero, Sandy Hudson.
