                      Round One
Sandy Hudson bested Eric Ginac 2-0 at the Irish Pub. Eric was back after a hand injury had kept him out of action for a while and quickly won the opening leg before Sandy won four straight for the victory.
Tenth seed Tom Hoskins was on fire when he and Gene Smith played at the VFW. Tom swept to a 2-0 victory.

                      Quarter Finals
Tom Hoskins was fresh off an impressive performance in the opening round and looked for another upset win over second seeded Brian Bemis. Instead, it was Brian that was in top form winning 2-0 at Southern Yankees.
The top seed David Howard lost to Sandy Hudson at the VFW 2-1 in a classic battle. It came down to the last leg of the last set to decide the outcome.
Chuck Hudson upset Ted Hoffman 2-0 at the Irish Pub in a triple 19 battle royale. Ted became the second upper seeded player to lose in the round.
Jeff Turner was on his game ousting teammate John Liggett 2-0 at Southern Yankees. John said that Jeff just started hitting 140's and I couldn't do anything with him.
                                                                               Final Four
Sandy Hudson continued her strong play, besting fourth seeded Jeff Turner 2-0 at the Irish Pub. Her second straight upset put her in the finals.
In a match played at Southern Yankees, Brian Bemis continued his torrid pace and eliminated sixth seed Chuck Hudson.

                      The City Championship
Brian's road to the finals included a first round bye, and two impressive matches where he didn't lose a set and lost only one leg. The second seeded player is supposed to make the finals and he certainly had taken care of business. Sandy's path included a first round match and two upset wins over top seed David Howard and fourth seed Jeff Turner.
This was the second time these two had hooked up in the playoffs with Brian winning in the cricket bracket. The match was played at the Irish Pub witnessed by a small crowd.
Sandy started hot with a opening leg 15 dart game. Brian evened the set at 1-1, before Sandy survived the third leg winning the first set 2-1. Brian heated up his triple 20's and took 2 straights legs and tied the match one set apiece. The third set was epic with Brian hitting 20's and Sandy hitting 19's and both missing doubles. The momentum swung back and forth in this important set before Sandy ended up winning 2-1. Down, Brian started hot but could not finish strong and lost the next leg to open the fourth set. Now, only one leg away, Sandy finished the match off win a 17 dart game winning the best 3 of 5 match and the championship 3-1.

                                                                                  Round One
Chuck Hudson edged Tom Hoskins 2-1 at Southern Yankees. This match featured big shots by both players as each game went down to the wire. Sandy Hudson swept Gene Smith 2-0 at the VFW. Gene was just a bit of his game and Sandy took full advantage.
                                                                               Quarter Finals
Ted Hoffman registered a 2-0 win over his good buddy Eric Ginac at Southern Yankees. With Eric still on the mend, Ted said he felt "fortunate" with the timing, but he also played well in the victory. Eric won the regular season match up.  Top seeded Brian Bemis eliminated Sandy Hudson in straight sets, 2-0. Brian played well through out the match played at the VFW after the ADO area 4-3 Regional. John Liggett barely survived against David Howard at Southern Yankees, winning in the last leg to claim a 2-1 victory. John started strong, but the beauty of the set format is that you can get down and still come back to win, and come back David did.  Second seed Jeff Turner survived a scare of his own against Chuck Hudson at the VFW. They started an epic 20's / 19's scoring duel in the first leg before Chuck won and took the second leg to win the first set. Jeff struggled at times but managed to sweep both second set legs and even the match. Jeff won the first leg, but Chuck blitzed Jeff in the second leg. Down to the deciding game Jeff won after Chuck's attempt at a 4 bulls to win scenario fell short.
                                                                               Final Four
Brian Bemis was focused and threw strong darts beating Ted Hoffman 2-0 at Southern Yankees. He headed to the finals not losing a set against two outstanding players. Ted shot well and was proud of his season and for the excellence competition. In a rematch of their 501 playoff match, John Liggett and Jeff Turner hooked up at the Irish Pub. In this battle of the 2 and 3 seeds, good friends, teammates and regular "free world" rivals, it was John who was on top of his game and won 2-0.
                                                                  The City Championship
Brian Bemis enters as the top seed and on a roll. John Liggett has found his game as well and both defeated quality players to make it to this match at the Irish Pub. But this ended up being no contest. Brian was emotionally drained after losing the 501 Championship and never recovered to serious challenge John, who was throwing great darts when needed and solid darts through out winning the championship 3-0 in a sweep.
